Top Ten Sequels I'm Dying To Read

(Even though some of these books are actually the fourth or fifth in a series.)

• The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead. Has anyone noticed that I have a slight obsession with Richelle Mead? No? I do. For good reason, too. Anyways...The Golden Lily is the sequel to Bloodlines. *Swoons! If you haven't read Bloodlines, then I have no idea what you are waiting for! And if you have....THAT ENDING! I shall say no more so that I do not spoil it for my dear readers, but how could you NOT want to read the sequel after that?
• Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. Need I even say more? Cassandra Clare is a literary genius. MY OPINION, PEOPLE. Don't hate! I love her and her work. A lot of people are wary of The Infernal Devices books, but I swear to you that if you like The Mortal Instruments, Will and Tessa and Jem will not disappoint!
• Insurgent by Veronica Roth. One word, four letters: Four. Nom nom nom. He is yummy, and reason enough to crave Insurgent. But, if he isn't convincing enough...HAVE YOU FUGGIN READ DIVERGENT?
• Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. I know I'm a little late to hop on this bandwagon, but better late than never, right?
• The Calling by Kelley Armstrong. I love Kelley's young adult work! I've yet to pick up one of her adult series, but I will do that. She always has fun narrators and unique plots.
• Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This series is so beautiful and original. I love it!
• Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick. Patch! Ahhh! I can't help but go a little fan girl when I think of him. And with the ending from Crescendo, I am desperate for more!
• Wings of the Wicked by Courtney Allison Moulton. I feel like this series is off to a great start. I'm excited to learn more about the characters, delve deeper into the forbidden romance, and see more of Ellie's past!
• Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins. For reasons, I'd advise you go find my review for Demonglass.
• City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. MORE CASSIE! I swear, one of my goals in life is to meet her and get a book signed by her. Jace Jace Jace. Holy Hell Balls, I need more Jace!

There are so many more I want to read, these were just the first ones I could think of! They are in no particular order, by the way. So, what sequels are you just DYING to read?

So is there any question as to why I so desperately want this book? If there is then you obviously have not read The Mortal Instruments series. Cassandra Clare is such a talented author, creating a wonderful plot and beautiful characters. Not to mention that torturous cliffhanger at the end of City of Fallen Angels. That killed me. Precious Jace.

 

Speaking of Jace, that segues me into my next topic. I was going to put it in a separate post, but it fits in pretty well with this one.

 

I'm assuming most of you have heard about The YA Sisterhood crush tournament. Well, the wonderful Jace Wayland has made it to the VERY FINAL ROUND! I must say, I am so proud of my man (I WISH!) Now, I'm not going to say that Jace totally pwns every other person in the world.....even if it is true. He is running against a worthy opponent, but let's face it: we all want Jace to win!

Author's news! Richelle Mead, Cassandra Clare, Zoe Marriott, and Courtney Allison Moulton.

Boy, do I have A LOT to talk about. I'll start with author's news.

Richelle Mead has released the beautiful cover to The Golden Lily this week. The Golden Lily, for those of you who don't know, is the second installment in the Bloodlines series. For those of you who don't know what Bloodlines is Richelle Mead has provided a helpful Q&A. But if you don't feel like going there, I will tell you that is a spin-off of her bestselling Vampire Academy series. It focuses on Sydney Sage, the alchemist, Jill Mastrano, the long lost Dragomir, and Adrian Ivashkov, the heart broken hottie. For more information, go to the Q&A. There is both Bloodlines and The Golden Lily. For a close up of the The Golden Lily you can click here.

Neither Bloodlines nor The Golden Lily have been released yet. Bloodlines's release date is August 23, 2011. The Golden Lily does not have an exact date, but is set to come out in May 2012. Miss Mead is a fantastic writer (and she's fantastically pregnant!) and if you have not read her work yet, I give a strong recommendation.

In other news, Cassandra Clare has released this month's spoilers fro City of Lost Souls, which is the next installment in the bestselling Mortal Instruments series. For those teasers and the ones from previous months you can go here.

Thursday was the official release date for Zoe Marriott's new book Shadows on the Moon. I've yet to read some of Miss Marriott's work, but Shadows on the Moon is definitely high on my to-read list! If you'd like to read more about this story, you can find information here, and on her blog she provides several other blogs that you can visit to read excerpts and learn more about the book.



Lastly, Courtney Allison Moulton has posted on her blog pictures of the Wings of the Wicked  ARCs and provides an email for who you can contact to get a hold on one. She has always given a form submission to fill out so that you can win some swag. I've filled it out! If you would like to do the same, it is a first come, first serve sort of thing.
For those of you who have never heard of Courtney, her debut novel was Angelfire and Wings of the Wicked is the sequel and it is being released February 14, 2012. To learn more about the books and the world they take place you can check out these links.
